I thought I could just set up my bike stand and start tearing apart drivetrains. Totally Wrong!
My business will be located in the bottom-dwelling of my home, in which an old pottery studio was setup. It is extremely insulated for pottery but poorly set up for getting greasy, so some changes needed to be made.
Start with the basics right? Cleaning, floor plan, paint?
Nah- I’m going straight to the zippy-zaps, electrical.
Wiring up new sockets and LED lights to help make these bikes shine! Then came the drywall, mudding, paint, flooring, and building a pretty sweet workbench.
Most of the materials are actually repurposed from some deconstruction of other structures around my house. I felt with the large DIY boom of 2020, that repurposing as much as I could is optimum to save costs. Plus I like to be as “green” as possible.
The build is almost done and the shop should be launching soon.
Hoping to have it ready for the new year!
